PHILLIP BELLINI

THORPE — Phillip Bellini, age 76, of P.O. Box 213, Thorpe, W.Va., passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Home Sweet Home Care Center in Lashmeet.Born on May 24, 1932 in Anawalt, he was a son of the late John and Maria Maggio Bellini. He had been a resident of Thorpe since 1972 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea from 1952-1954. He was a retired mechanic for Halls Chevrolet in Welch and retired from U.S. Steel as a mechanic

. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Pitts Bellini of the home; a son, Ronnie Bellini and wife Connie of Lexington, N.C.; two grandchildren, Ron Bellini, Jr. and wife Holly of Lexington, N.C., and Maria Tesh and husband Michael of Lexington, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Reagan and Harrison Tesh; and two sisters, Irene Hall of Thorpe and Rosie Rogers of W.Va

.Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Gary Durham and the Rev. Russell King officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where military honors will be performed by the WV Army Honor Guard.
