Betty Jane Varner, 68, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013. Betty was born in West Virginia by parents Charles and Bertha Blevins. After high school Betty moved to the DC metropolitan area, where she met and fell in love with husband Darrell Varner. They married New Year’s Eve in 1964, a few years later they had a daughter and son. Betty was an active and lifetime member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of Dale City, the Red Hat Society, Prince William County Board of Supervisors, Prince William County Democratic Committee, and Bel Air Woman's Club as well as the Dale City Civic Association.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bertha Blevins. Betty will be deeply missed by husband of 49 years Darrell, daughter, Lori Wilfong; son, Christopher Varner; granddaughters, Ashley and Megan Wilfong; sister, Carol Jean Day; brother, Charles “Bud” Blevins. 

Family and friends will be received at Mount castle Turch Funeral Home 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City 22193 on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of Dale City 14999 Birchdale Ave., Dale City, VA 22193 on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 1:00pm.
