CHARLES ATWELL SHORT

Charles Atwell Short, 70, departed this life on Thursday, September
13, 2012 at his home in Caretta.  Born May 18, 1942 at Leckie he was
the son of Charles Atwell Short, 70, departed this life on Thursday, September
13, 2012 at his e late Charles H. And Ruby C. Short.  He was a 1960
graduate of Gary High School and later on a graduate of Bluefield
State College.

 He had taught school in McDowell County, served as a
McDowell County Deputy Sheriff, and was retired from Welch Community
Hospital.

 He is survived by his wife Kimberly Short of the home; his
son Casey L. Short and wife Angela of Welch, his daughter Catherine L.
Short and companion Joey Gilbert of Caretta.  He is also survived by
his beloved cousin Judy Henderson McDaniels of Kissimmee. Fla.
