ANAWALT — Freda Ann Parks, age 77, of P.O. Box 201, Anawalt, W.Va., died on
Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at her residence. Born on May 21, 1935 in Welch, she
was a daughter of the late Joe and Cindy Wright Mallory. She had lived in
Anawalt her entire life and was a member of the Conklintown Church of God. She
was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and
Joe Mallory; and a sister, Marilyn Mallory.
Survivors include husband, Robert J. “Bob” Parks of the home; sons, Robert
Joseph Parks, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Bluewell, Brian Parks and
wife, Julie of Pageton, Joseph Parks and wife, Ronnie of Anawalt; daughters,
Cindy Elizabeth Lucas and husband, Butch of Martinsburg, Deborah Jane Rae of
Anawalt, Dianna White and husband, Waylon of Hazard, KY; brothers, Orin
Mallory of Tazewell, Va., Mason Mallory of Pennsylvania, John Mallory of
Baltimore, Md.; sisters, twin sister, Leda Hopkins and husband, Walter of
Baltimore, Md., Dawn Rosenburg of Baltimore, Md., Lorraine Upchurch of Durham,
N.C.; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Jerry Graham
officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell where
her family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on
Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
