Theodore F. Prasatek

Theodore Francis "Chaplain Ted" Prasatek, 81, of Spotsylvania County died
Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Prasatek was a native of Filbert, W.Va. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having
served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a field engineer with the Patriot Missile
Program and retired from the Department of the Army after 40 years. Mr. Prasatek
had served as Chaplain of VFW Post 3103 for 10 years and was a licensed
minister. He was the founder of Veterans for Jesus Ministry, where he ministered
to veterans at VA hospitals, nursing homes and the national war memorials in
Washington, D.C. Mr. Prasatek was a member of Living Word Fellowship Church and
Toastmasters International.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anna M. Prasatek of Spotsylvania; son,
Andrew Prasatek and his wife, Suzette of Woodbridge; daughters, Annette Shipp of
Orange County, Sophia Inabinet and her husband, Wayne of Manassas, and Franceen
Shepherd of Spotsylvania; two sisters, Genevive Schiller of Baltimore, Md.,
Helen Pisano of Woodbridge; grandchildren, Angela and Diane Shipp, Daniel,
Matthew, Michael, and Anne Marie Shepherd; Derek, Greg and Aaron Inabinet; and
eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at Covenant Funeral
Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 10am Tuesday, Jan. 10 the funeral home chapel with
Pastors Richard and Christine Dunk officiating. Entombment will follow in Laurel
Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors
Mr. Prasatek's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
