CLOVER, S.C. — Phillip Cooper, 70, of Clover, S.C., passed away on Thursday,
October 9, 2011 at Hospice House in Clover, S.C. Born July 21, 1941 at Gary,
W.Va., he was the son of the late Raymond Cooper, and Marie Cooper of
Princeton. Phillip was a coal miner for U.S. Steel in Gary, W.Va. He proudly
served our country with the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his father, Phillip
is preceded in death by his wife. Lola Cooper; and one son, Raymond Cooper.
In addition to his mother, Phillip will be sadly missed by his son, Marc
Cooper of Clover, S.C.; sister Delores Atkins and husband Don of Princeton;
brother, Gary Cooper of Princeton; brother-in-law, Alvin Duncan and wife Sally
of Abbs Valley, Va.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at
Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, led by Sally Duncan. Friends may call from 1:00
p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at
Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Condolences
