James "Jimmy" E. Goff, 69, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, in his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Kay Goff.

Born in Wilcoe, West Virginia on May 1, 1940, he was a son of the late James Edward Goff, Sr. and Lillian Ayers Goff. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother, Annabell Goff, Francis Walton, Lois Powell, Alice Spencer, and Danny Goff.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Dana G. Stump (Louis), Darrin Goff, and Kathy Taylor (John Paul), eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also survived by a brother and six sisters, Helen Wilt, Bessie Roland, Margie Mawyer, Nancy New, Mary Jenkins, William Goff, and Barbara Goodon; an uncle, Walter Goff, and lots of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 in Virginia Memorial Park by the Rev. Keith Jones. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Service and at other times will be at 1616 Graves Mill Road.
