ABBS VALLEY, Va. — James Louie "Sonny" Presley, 67, died at his home on Feb. 11, 2010. Born March 18, 1942 in Jenkinjones, W.Va., he was the son of the late James Louie Presley and Bessie Jones Presley.

 Mr. Presley was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served as a military policeman stationed in Berlin, Germany from 1961-1963. He was a dedicated worker for U.S. Steel in Gary, W.Va. and retired from Steamfitters Local Union 602 in Washington, D.C.

 He is survived by his wife, Susan Webb Presley of Bluefield, Va.; brothers, Charlie Presley and wife Vicki of Fairfax, Va. and their daughters, Sharon and Diann, John Presley of Harpers Ferry, W.Va. and his children, Cole, Cassie, and Cameron, and Dan Presley of Springfield, Va.; sisters, Nan Mitchem and husband Paul of Manassas, Va. and their daughter, Paula, Nancy Pruitt and husband Vaughn of Roanoke, Va. and their children, Lavonne and Jim, and Eleanor Mohler of Springfield, Va. and her son, Jason.In addition, he is survived by stepchildren, Marty, Tim and Heather Webb of Spotsylvania, Va. and their children, Victoria, Caleb, Zade, and Zion, Kevin Morgan and wife Debbie of Fredericksburg, Va. and their children, Kimberly, Cody, Samantha and Sonny, and Casey Morgan of Beckley, W.Va.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, W.Va. and remain for services at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Rescue 945, P.O. Box 217, Boissevain, VA 24606.
