— Geraldine C. (Deanie) LaFon, 84, of 142 Wedgewood Ave., Princeton, W.Va.
passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at her residence. Deanie was born
on August 06, 1925 in O'Toole, W.Va. to the late N.C. Guess, Sr. and Louise
McGhee Guess. She had been a resident of Princeton, W.Va. for the past 32
years. She was a Member of the Sons of Italy and Ladies Auxiliary of the
Shrine. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
Ralph B. LaFon; sisters, Juanita Labroski and Marcella Eanes; brother, N.C.
Guess, Jr. Survivors include one son, Ron Sexton of Princeton; two
daughters, Susanne and husband Jim Pulse of Kegley, Anita and husband Dave
Moore of Princeton; one brother, Edward and wife Barbara Guess of Fresno,
Ohio; two sisters, Joann Dooley of Princeton, Ruby Gauden of Streetsboro,
Ohio; three grandchildren, Stephanie Jarvis who also served as caregiver,
Josette and husband John Sivinski of Cleveland, Ohio, Veronica Noble of Lake
Wiley, S.C. and Scott Noble of Princeton. Funeral service will be held on
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home
Chapel in Bluewell, W.Va. with the Rev. Orville Harvey and Scott Mikels
officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton
where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call
on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions
may be made to The Shrine Crippled Children Charity or to a favorite charity
