SEVEN VALLEYS Dallas Taylor, 69 passed away December 26, 2010, at home with his loving family by his side. Dallas was born in Anawalt, W.Va., on April 22, 1941, the son of the late Emmett Wilson Taylor and Pauline (Nunley) (Taylor) Snead and the stepson of Glenford Snead.

Dallas retired after 33 years with Bell Atlantic. Upon retiring he worked as a cook at Suburban Bowling Alley for 10 years. He became a practicing Catholic in 1982 and volunteered for many activities at St. Patrick's Church. Along with his volunteer work at the church he was also an avid bowler.

Dallas is survived by his wife, Joan (Leonard) Taylor of 43 years. They were married in McLean, Va., on September 9, 1967. He is also survived by his daughter, Carol (Taylor) Spencer her husband, Carl and their four children, Brittany, Ashley, Carrie and Kyle; his son, David Taylor his wife, Missy (Geesey) and their children, Josh and Kirsten; and his son, Matthew Taylor, his wife Holly (Emenheiser) and their sons, Ryan and Cameron. He is also survived by a brother, Clayton Taylor and wife, Deborah of South Carolina; sister, Glenna Parks of Virginia; and his sister-in-law, Joyce Taylor of Virginia; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased in death by brother, Dennis Taylor of Virginia; and half-brother, Roger Taylor.

 Viewings will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011, at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave, and 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Church. 239 S. Beaver St. York. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at the church , with the Rev. Samuel Houser as celebrant. Interment is in Holy Savior Cemetery, York.
