BERKELEY FREEMAN

Subject: Berkeley

It's with heavy heart I send this message.  Berkeley went to sleep in Jesus this morning at 7:30.  He had 2 surgeries on Thursday, Sept.8th.  He came home Sunday, but developed a breathing problem on Tuesday evening so I took him back to ER where they admitted him for pneumonia.  Wednesday night he coded and they put him on a  ventilator.  Thursday they took him off it and he was doing OK.  Friday and Sat. he was so agitated (panic & anxiety} when he was awake.  The docs kept him sedated most of the time for his comfort.  This morning his heart stopped and after 30 min. of CPR, shock, and meds they had to stop trying to revive him.  The doctor says he probably had a blood clot go to his heart.

I'm thankful for the additional 10 years we had together since he wasn't expected to survive the surgery he had in Sept.,2001.  God is good, all the time, and I know Berkeley loved the Lord with all his heart and I know I'll see him again some day.

Thank you for your friendship to Berkeley.  He so enjoyed the reunion and was looking forward to the next one.  Please pass along this info to his classmates, and let them know the next reunion he will attend will be around the Sea of Glass.  Hope to see everyone there.

With love,  Stella Freeman
